And I’m gonna make so much pulled pork!

Most important question: What kind of sauce?
Down here in TX, it’s all red sauce. That’s fine, but I really miss good Carolina pork BBQ.

Don’t know yet. My BIL has the best recipe for pulled pork and I just asked him to give it to me.

You like it? The Bed Bath & Beyond lady said she has the same one and really likes it.

Noooooooo this one’s the best. I’ve had inferior pulled pork before.

But you are going to share it with us, aren’t you?

Can confirm that those things make the best pulled pork. You can get a 3# shoulder for like 5 bucks and eat on that thing for days. I usually don’t season it until it is cooked in case I want to use some for carnitas tacos and some for bbq sandwiches.

Slow cooked pulled pork is an absolutely amazing thing.

Yeah, if you come over!

Heh, meat king.

BBQ from a Crock Pot is not BBQ! It’s just meat boiled in it’s own fat.

It is a fantastic unit. I’m glad you splurged on a pricier model.

I almost went with the Crockpot Wifi-enabled slow cooker.

Yup, during Snowpocalypse one of our guys made a couple pork butts in one of those, it was soooooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooooood.

If I were a Muslim, I wouldn’t be. Pork is too good.

Any meat, a good sauce, put on low when leave for work. Come back to good hot meal.

Great! Then share, the recipe I mean. I'll try it out next week. Always looking for good recipes!

I’m not barbecuing it.

Smoke that shit first for maximum enjoyment.

I’ve got that exact same crockpot. It’s great.
Be prepared for the most annoying fucking styrofoam packaging though. It took me half an hour to dig everything out from the actual pot itself.

Oh you know it
![]() 02/04/2016 at 09:11 |

I was thinking about the same, but I realize it’s just not a good idea to have something be cooking while you’re not home.
![]() 02/04/2016 at 09:14 |
|
Yeah, I’d prefer to leave a slow cooker cooking while I’m asleep.

So that’s what that little gasket thing in the lid of my crock pot is for! Thermometer. Learn something new every day.

I always thought it would be a valve like on a pressure cooker.. but this make much more sense.

It’s full on raiders to get it out without breaking the styro..

Sweet, same as ours, we run it in the garage when we aren’t home.. Less burn down the kitchen risk / more delicious smelling workshop.

I had to take a fucking box cutter to get the Styrofoam bits out from underneath the folded metal parts. It was already totally shattered by the time I opened the box.
